ok.. so today was a slow day for the makeover.  Rog got alot done.. just slow, tedious work at this point.  So not too many pics.  I did get a pic of the new fire pit (notice the empty bottle of wine, the day after).

It's been a while since I've post.. and I'm getting hell from everyone so I'll try and recap.. shutters are done and up. Yippee!  The metal "old school" support brace are out and cedar posts replace  them.  They look awesome with the shutters!  Pa and Rog did a fantastic job and I think Pa only fell off the ladder once.  Our storage in the Hill Country is empty! That saves a few bucks!  We had our first fire in the fire pit tonight, with a nice bottle (or two) of wine. Nam and Pa leave tomorrow.. and I will work on Wed and Thurs and Tiff and our grandboy Hudson (inutero)  come on Friday.. can't wait!  I think Rog will work on ceiling and staining the concrete in the next few weeks.  It is going to be a long process.  So stay tuned...

Rog and Pa almost finished all the shutters today.. but Pa is down for the count right now.. Hurt his back trying to lift our smoker.  They did get the door enclosed, so that was big! Now can get doggie door .. so puppies can go out!   Not sure what is on agenda for tomorrow.  Hopefully shutters will all be up! Stay tuned..

It's been a few days since my last post.  Nam and Pa Moon made it and the transformation has began.  Rog got the popcorn ceiling off before Pa arrived, and they have been patching and sanding the ceiling.  They started closing in a wall space so we can access backyard from house.  The first shutter was made today so hope to finish and get them up tomorrow and will have pics.  Had a minor set back today with septic problems, but Rog and Rog fixed it up.  Have a cabinet guy coming by tomorrow to give us an estimate.. and finally had new appliances delivered yesterday.  They are still in boxes in garage until the kitchen is done.  Will post again soon....

Should close tomorrow on house!! Yeah! I do not recommend prime lending to anybody. A realtor friend from Houston recommended a guy she knew... arghh! Has been a nightmare! However, Wells Fargo in Austin was wonderful.. should have went with them. I was in too deep with the other Company and am ready to be done. The Lending department at Wells Fargo (lady named Judy) was so helpful and prompt and actually let me know I would loose some money if we switched.. So I DEF recommend Judy at Wells Fargo Austin lending Department to anyone. Enough about that nightmare.

We should close tomorrow the 10th. Rog is so ready to start working on it. I think this will be good practice in preparation for building our dream house.. I like transformation, so for me, I am almost more excited about this project.

I think the first thing we will do is Xmas lights.. LOL! We will not move in for a bit.. going to try and remove popcorn ceiling, remove carpet and stain floors before we move everything in. Good news is we a a 3 stall garage so can store things there.

Gonna sign off now.. gotta look at ideas online.. will try and post pics daily.. Rog got a new camera so should be fun!
