well we are in the Hill Country!!!

So close... feels like home.. Puppies agree!

Yeah, yeah.. the curtains don't match.. trust me .. how far we've come.. who cares!  There are still important decisions to be made.  Rome wasn't built overnight... or something like that... In the Hill country, who cares????  It's great!!

 

ok ... my table does not have a top.. if you never sit your drink down that's not a problem..

But I have a huge cowboy "GUS" in my living room, can you say that?  I insisted he be part of our house. I bought him (against Rog's advise) saying I could build a house around him (I could build a house around him...technically),   Maybe we should rename" Gus's Ranch"?  Maybe Rog was right????  I think he was meant to be on that  (very low) wall.. Means I'm not wrong...LOL!  Thanks for sharing in our adventure.... Can not wait for ya'll  to visit!!!!

The new garage door ornamental iron work.

The kitchen is almost totally torn out.  Rog is scrapping adhesive from the linoleum that was there.  This is all for stained concrete.  Huge job!  Hopefully our Cabinet guy will have them done soon.  Our new stainless appliances sit it the garage ready and  waiting.  I have the paint colors picked out, our cabinets will be maple  but painted and off white and glazed,   slate tile for backsplash.  Rog picked up our oak countertops a few days ago.  Our sink is on back order, it is a double apron sink.  Hope it all comes together.

YIPPEE!  The underground electric is in.  Rog dug the trench 18 inches deep by hand so he would not hit water lines.  Good idea because he crossed the water line 2 or 3 times.  But it is all finished and we have underground electricity and our house is all up to code (we think).  We had a few issues with our inspection and our electricity and codes.  So we are good until we decide to sell and codes are all different again.

But it is all worth it with sunsets like this from our backyard at the end of the day!

And our big buck is still alive and stays across the front yard.  No Hunters got "em!!

Just because he's so freakin cute!  And hey it is Moon Ranch, so we needed a cowboy!  Our little Barrett, my niece's baby boy.  Uncle Rog took pictures,  I have a feeling our blog will be including more and more pics of little boys!

OK so.. now the house...

The turkey and the deer!  OK so you're wondering where's the house????  Like I said before it is slow work.. Rog trying hard to get carpet up and The floor ready to stain.. We were delayed last weekend as that beautiful baby boy was in ICU with a respiratory virus.

Trenching for underground electric.  Hopefully electricians will be here tomorrow to help wrap up some projects.

ok.. So I had to get in a picture so you knew I was actually doing something, but you'll notice I didn't look at the camera, do not like my picture taken!  It is going to be cold all week, so I wanted to work outside on the yard and patio a bit..
